Founded by James Kelso, a health-conscious fitness enthusiast and community advocate, Thrive Juices was born from both personal experience and purpose.

James’s story began in New Orleans, Louisiana, a city filled with beauty, culture, and resilience, yet also burdened by some of the highest racial income disparities and poverty rates in the nation. Raised in the Magnolia Projects, James didn’t grow up with healthy food options in his neighborhood. He witnessed firsthand how limited access to nutritious foods led to widespread health issues across his community.

After the loss of his father to a stroke and high blood pressure, James made a life-changing commitment: to break the cycle of poor eating habits that had plagued generations before him. Inspired by his mother, who began experimenting with juicing and creating vibrant, flavorful blends from simple ingredients, James realized that wellness didn’t have to come at the expense of taste; it could be both nourishing and enjoyable.

In 2020, he began developing the concept that would become Thrive Juices, a brand built to bridge the gap between accessibility and wellness. What started with a single juicer and a farmer’s market stand has grown into a movement focused on uplifting the community through nutrition, education, and intentional living.
